Hansi Flick has already completed one full season with FC Barcelona, and ever since his arrival at the Catalan club, the German coach has hardly given any reasons not to be happy with his performance.

In his first season in charge of the Blaugrana team, he led them to all the big domestic titles, while also reaching the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League, in spite of the financial challenges that the Catalan club continues to face.

Thus, the fans and the administration would ideally want him to remain in charge of the team as long as possible. However, the coach himself has made it clear that he wants to take it year by year, and he does not commit himself long-term to the club.

This stance inevitably keeps the door open for speculation about potential successors, and one name stands out above all: Luis Enrique. The former Barça player and coach, who guided Paris Saint-Germain to a historic treble last season, remains highly regarded at Camp Nou.

According to SPORT, while the Spanish tactician, who won the treble in 2015 with the Blaugranes, is settled in Paris, he still fondly remembers life in Barcelona. With the Catalans set for presidential elections next year, his name could resurface as a major candidate.

Luis Enrique has openly admitted in private that he would love to return to the Camp Nou one day, though he has also stressed his respect for honoring contracts. His current deal with PSG runs until 2027.

For now, both parties are destined to cross paths only as rivals, as Barcelona and PSG will meet in a blockbuster Champions League tie on October 2.
