U17 World Cup Round of 16 set: Four African nations advance as Morocco & Mali collide in blockbuster clash
The Round of 16 is officially set at the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar after all fixtures from the Round of 32 were completed.
Only 4 African nation, Morocco, Mali, Uganda, and Burkina Faso managed to advance at this stage.
A total of 16 team booked their spots in the knockout phase representing diverse mix of Asian, European, African and South American football powerhouses.
Morocco will face Mali in one of the most anticipated matches of the round. Both nations have been strong at youth level in recent years making this all African duel rich in talent, pace & physical intensity.
The standout clash of the round will see Brazil meet France, a fixture worthy of final. Both teams cruised through the group stage and remain among the favourites for the title.
