The 2025-26 UEFA Champions League league phase is set, and PSG find themselves in a daunting section. After a slow start last season in the league phase, the French champions will be eager to hit the ground running this time.
PSG will face Bayern Munich and Barcelona, promising two high-stakes clashes. Tottenham Hotspur also feature, setting up a quick rematch of their intense UEFA Super Cup encounter just weeks ago.
Furthermore, the challenge doesn’t stop there. Newcastle United and Athletic Bilbao add to the mix, while Bayer Leverkusen, Atalanta, and Portuguese champions Sporting Lisbon all stand in PSG’s way as the club aims for the knockout stage.

Esports RAC1 reports that Phase 1B, which covers the side area, could be finished within seven to ten days. Moreover, UEFA has reportedly requested that the club schedule a league match at Camp Nou, pending permits, if it wants to host PSG on October 1st.
Barcelona will also be focused on preparing one key player for their upcoming PSG clash. According to Diario AS’ Javi Miguel, Gavi is sidelined for the September 14 match against Valencia due to persistent discomfort in his right knee, which he had surgery on just under two years ago.
The report adds that Gavi is also unlikely to play in Barcelona’s Champions League opener against Newcastle on September 18. As a result, the more realistic goal is to have him fit for the October 1 showdown with PSG, Miguel notes.
