The capital club confirmed on Saturday evening that they had parted ways with Steffen Baumgart following a disappointing defeat away to bottom side Heidenheim. Marie-Louise Eta has since been placed in interim charge until the end of the season.

According to Sky Germany, Kalrsuher SC head coach Christian Eichner has now emerged as one of the top options for Union’s hierarchy. Internal discussions are said to be ongoing, although a final decision has yet to be made.
