The United States have officially unveiled their 26-man squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026, with head coach Mauricio Pochettino putting his faith in a mix of experienced names and players preparing for their first taste of football’s biggest stage.
The squad announcement was made during a public event in New York, where each player was introduced individually before receiving the shirt they will wear during the tournament.
Unsurprisingly, Christian Pulisic was among the headline names. The AC Milan winger remains the face of American football and is expected to play a leading role on home soil. Midfielder Weston McKennie of Juventus and Monaco striker Folarin Balogun were also included, alongside regulars Tyler Adams and Ricardo Pepi.
Thirteen members of the squad were part of the United States side that reached the last 16 at the 2022 World Cup, while the remaining 13 players are set for their tournament debut.
The hosts have been drawn in Group D alongside Australia national football team, Paraguay national football team and Turkey national football team.
