Valencia’s supporters are again showing their loyalty, with three big fixtures imminent and demand surging. AS reports that the team will be strongly backed at Mestalla and on the road.
On Wednesday Mestalla is set to crackle as Valencia play for a place in the Copa del Rey semi-finals against Athletic Club. Few tickets remain, season-ticket holders do not pay and the limited general sale is close to selling out.
Real Madrid then visit on Sunday, with the match already sold out for a 21:00 kick-off. Meetings with Madrid are typically tense, and this one comes after comments from Arbeloa suggesting Valencia will treat it as their game of the year at home.
For the 15 February derby at the Ciutat de València, the 513 away allocation was snapped up within minutes.
Valencia’s LaLiga situation is worrying, with the side very close to the relegation zone. Even so, the support will continue over the coming games in which the team’s survival hopes are at stake.
