Valencia plan early pre-season with Girona and St George’s Park camps | OneFootball

According to Superdeporte, Valencia return on Thursday two July for an early pre-season, with camps at the Royalverd Training Center in Girona and at St George’s Park in England, and six friendlies planned. Sporting director Ron Gourlay and head coach Carlos Corberán have mapped out the programme.

Players will undergo medical and fitness tests on day one, then begin training at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna. Between six and 12 July they will work in Valencia before heading to Girona for the first camp.

The plan is to face Atlético Petróleos de Luanda on 18 July. Back in Paterna, Corberán’s side host CD Eldense on 22 July and CD Castellón on 25 July.

Valencia then spend another week at the training ground, with another friendly planned before travelling.

The second camp runs in England from 27 July to one August at St George’s Park. Two matches are scheduled in that spell, Derby County on 28 July and Stoke City on one August.
