Valencia have extended academy winger David Otorbi’s contract to 2028. The deal contains a conditional three-year extension that would trigger if he is registered with the first team.

The club said in a statement that it had reached an agreement to prolong the VCF Mestalla player's terms. The renewal was announced on Thursday via videos from the club's academy on social media.

Otorbi, 18, became the youngest debutant in Valencia's history when he played for the senior side at 16 years, two months and 19 days. He remains registered with the B team and, since Carlos Corberán's arrival, has been the academy player most involved with the first team.

This season he has been named in 15 La Liga squads and featured in two of the five Copa matches. For VCF Mestalla he has made 18 appearances, scoring one goal and providing five assists from the right.

Negotiations were led by academy staff and overseen by CEO of Football Ron Gourlay. With the deal signed, the club and the player's representative will assess the next steps in his development, which could include a loan to a Primera or Segunda side where continuity would be guaranteed.
