Vasco in advanced talks to sign Colidio from River Plate | OneFootball

Vasco are in advanced talks to sign River Plate forward Facundo Colidio, with optimism over a positive outcome for the 26-year-old.

According to Globo.com, the deal would be a permanent purchase worth US$ 4 million, around R$ 20.3 million, for 50% of his economic rights. The striker has accepted the salary terms and informed River that he would agree to the move.

Vasco had tracked Colidio for months, and negotiations accelerated after football director Admar Lopes travelled to Argentina early this week. He went to Buenos Aires seeking to finalise a deal with Racing for midfielder Santiago Sosa, and also progressed other targets.

Colidio is a centre-forward who can also play off the left or as a second striker. This season he has five goals and three assists for the Argentine club.

The Italo-Argentine came through Inter Milan’s academy, then featured for Sint-Truiden in Belgium and Tigre in Argentina before joining River.
