Vasco reject Besiktas bid for Lucas Piton as Leandrinho nears exit | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Vasco have turned down a four million euro offer from Besiktas for Lucas Piton and have accepted a proposal to sell Leandrinho.

The club from Türkiye offered four million euros, which was promptly rejected. Vasco do not deem anyone unsellable, but would only consider losing Diniz’s first-choice left-back for a far higher fee.

The stance reflects a need to source an adequate replacement. Piton, 25, has produced notable goal contributions in Brazil and also holds Italian citizenship.

Meanwhile, the São Januário club have accepted an offer for Leandrinho, who told officials he did not want to remain in 2026 as he seeks more opportunities. The 20-year-old full-back is expected to join Al Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, with an agreement expected in the coming days.

Vasco have been monitoring left-back options since last year with the aim of adding depth. In 2025, Puma Rodríguez covered both flanks, backing up Paulo Henrique on the right and Piton on the left.
