Vasco da Gama have issued a final ultimatum to Independiente Del Valle over Cláudio Spinelli, with a conclusion close. The move is being treated as definitive, either the deal happens now or Vasco will walk away.
Atenção Vascaínos! reports that a new permanent bid was lodged on Saturday (31), worth more than two million dollars, about R$10.5 million.
Talks have moved into a decisive phase in recent hours, with Vasco’s offer surpassing an unnamed Brazilian rival and reaching Del Valle’s valuation. Optimism at São Januário stems from the forward’s approval of the project.
The proposal covers Spinelli’s economic rights, with payment in instalments. If accepted, the Argentine would sign a three-year contract.
A decision is expected between late Monday (two) and Tuesday morning (three). That puts the onus on the Ecuadorian club. If there is a rejection or an unrealistic counter, Vasco plan to end discussions and seek alternatives.
Spinelli scored twice against Vasco in their 2025 Copa Sudamericana exit. He hit 28 goals in 50 games for Del Valle last season, scoring in both the Libertadores and Sudamericana. If the move advances, he would be a new option for goals off the bench.
