Venezia sporting director Filippo Antonelli has arrived in Seville to push talks over striker Akor Adams, aiming to iron out the final financial differences.
According to El Chiringuito de Jugones, Antonelli landed in the city last night for face-to-face negotiations on a permanent transfer, with a summit between the clubs planned in the coming hours.
Venezia’s opening offer, worth 10 million euros fixed, was swiftly rejected by Sevilla. The Spanish club are holding out for at least 15 million euros before sanctioning the Nigerian forward’s exit.
The trip underlines Venezia’s firm interest, a factor that could bring the parties closer over the next few hours.
Even so, the likeliest immediate departure is Tanguy Nianzou. He is in France and close to passing medical tests with LOSC Lille to finalise a contract termination that would ease Sevilla’s wage bill by freeing one of the squad’s higher salaries.
Any Adams sale near Sevilla’s valuation would sit alongside a potential move for Rubén Vargas. The Swiss winger’s standout World Cup, capped by the decisive penalty that sent his country to the quarter-finals after a tense shootout, has attracted several English clubs, with Aston Villa, managed by Unai Emery and current UEFA Europa League champions, the latest to join the race.
