VfB Stuttgart have completed the signing of Feyenoord attacker Leo Sauer, edging regional rivals Hoffenheim to the 20-year-old’s signature.
The winger has agreed a contract in the Baden-Württemberg capital until 2031. Kicker reports a base fee of about €12.5m, with performance-related add-ons.
Sauer already has a profile in Germany after Slovakia’s upset of Germany in September 2025, when he gave Nnamdi Collins a torrid time. He now has the chance to develop further in the Bundesliga.
Stuttgart’s sporting leadership highlighted his displays in the Eredivisie, the Europa League and with Slovakia, and view him as a player of significant potential who can help strengthen their attacking approach in the coming years.
He called the club prestigious, praised its reputation, tradition and large fan base, and set his sights on success across all three competitions after meeting his new team-mates and making his debut.
