Italy goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is certain that the Azzurri will qualify for the World Cup and praises his teammate Gianluigi Donnarumma: ‘He has so many qualities, too many to list.’

Tottenham goalkeeper Vicario praised his Italy teammate Donnarumma and predicted the Azzurri will qualify for the World Cup in his latest interview with Sky Sport Italia.

“As a goalkeeper, he [Donnarumma] has incredible reflexes,” Vicario said.

“As a person, he’s a guy with endless kindness and a perfect teammate in the dressing room. I’m lucky to train with him and see him up close. He has so many qualities, too many to list.”

The new year will be so important for Italy as the Azzurri will play in the World Cup semifinal play-off against Northern Ireland, hoping to meet the winner of Wales-Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Final.

Vicario showed no doubt when asked whether Italy would qualify for the World Cup for the first time since 2014: “We’re going to the World Cup,” he concluded.
