Victor Wembanyama plays Houston kickabout in PSG shirt and is said to have scored twice

On summer break, Victor Wembanyama joined a local football match in Houston, wearing a Paris Saint-Germain shirt during a short stay in east Texas.

L'Équipe reports that the San Antonio Spurs centre played in an amateur game at the Katy Sports Complex, with spectators filming the scenes as he appeared on a football pitch.

He is said to have scored two goals, celebrating in Kylian Mbappé style, before leaving to cheers from the crowd.

It was not a first, he had also dropped into a match in Japan last summer.

While in Houston he took part in a special workout with Hakeem Olajuwon at the school run by the NBA legend.

Recently called up for the second qualifying window for the 2027 World Cup, the Frenchman is set to play for France on 20 August against Serbia, featuring Nikola Jokic.
