Bayern Munich beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-2 on Saturday to tighten their grip on the Bundesliga title race.
Bayern Munich strengthened their lead in the Bundesliga with hard-fought 3-2 home win against Eintracht Frankfurt in matchday 24.
The victory moved Bayern nine point clear at the top of the table ahead of Borussia Dortmund who were set to face tough test against RB Leipzig later.
Bayern opened the scoring through Aleksandar Pavlovic whose shot beat goalkeeper Kauã Santos. The hosts doubled their lead in the 20 minute when Harry Kane headed home with a precise finish.
The England captain stayed sharp after the break scoring his 28 Bundesliga goal and the 502 goal of his career with left-foot strike from outside the box.
Kane is now closing in on Robert Lewandowski’s league record of 41 goal in single season.
The win lifted Bayern to 60 point at the top of the standings. Eintracht Frankfurt remain on 31 point in seventh place, still chasing European qualification.
