Former Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba was so emotional at making his return to football after the doping ban that he burst into tears when signing the Monaco contract.
The World Cup winner thought for a while he might never get to play again after the four-year ban was imposed in February 2024.
It was reduced to 18 months on appeal and he terminated his contract with Juventus by mutual consent in November.
He had barely played for Juventus in the year before that due to a series of injury problems, which again put his career at risk of an early finish.

Now the 32-year-old has another chance and today the emotion of the moment got to him as he put pen to paper on the two-year contract with AS Monaco.
Pogba had to be consoled by club figures and members of his entourage as he burst into tears when signing his name to the paperwork.
It is reported his salary will be just €2m per season, a huge cut from the figure he was earning at Juventus and before that Manchester United.
