More action from the FA Cup third round continued on Friday with two games on the schedule. Here is what went down.
Scorer: Onan 71', Rogers 76'; Paquetá 9'
Aston Villa reached the fourth round of the FA Cup after coming from behind to beat West Ham 2-1 at home.
All eyes were initially on Hammers boss Graham Potter as he took charge for the first time. And when it came time to play, his side didn't take long to score their first goal under new management.
Crysencio Summerville carried the ball on the right wing and eventually picked out an unmarked Lucas Paquetá in the box. The Brazilian used the allotted time and space to drive a shot past goalkeeper Robin Olsen.
Unfortunately for the visitors, their chances of finding the net a second time were squandered when striker Niclas Füllkrug was forced off with a hamstring issue.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa struggled to threaten a comeback with zero shots on target by the hour mark despite the efforts of Ollie Watkins, Morgan Rogers and others.
But then Unai Emery's men found their touch late in the game.
Amadou Onana was the quickest to react in the box and bundled home an equaliser from point-blank range. Then, just five minutes later, the game was all turned around.
Watkins received a through ball on the left side of the pitch, carried it into the box and picked out Rogers, who delivered when it mattered most to win the game.
Scorers: Hanlan 17', Bradley 27'
League One side Wycombe Wanderers showed there's always a little bit of magic in the FA Cup after beating Championship side Portsmouth 2-0.
Despite the visitors' dominating possession of the ball, a struggling attack could only produce one shot on target over 90 minutes.
Meanwhile, two first-half goals were enough to see the hosts continue their campaign into the fourth round.
Brandon Hanlan was the man to open the scoring after capitalising on a loose ball in the box following Gideon Kodua's surging run.
The second then arrived only 10 minutes later when Sonny Bradley thumped home a header following a whipped-in free-kick.
Looking ahead in the FA Cup schedule, more action continues on Saturday with a staggering 17 games on the list.
