Villarreal supporters have delivered a broadly positive verdict on Marcelino García Toral's side in LaLiga, despite a bruising Champions League campaign.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, a street survey of the Submarino fanbase found optimism about the league, set against frustration in Europe and the Copa.
In the league, Villarreal are third with 54 points, level with Atlético Madrid, and 11 clear of fifth-placed Real Betis.
In Europe they took one point from 24, a draw and seven defeats in eight. In the Copa del Rey they exited in the round of 32 to second-tier Racing de Santander.
At home, the season has brought records, including the best first half in the club's history, and a sustained hold on the top four. A second straight Champions League qualification appears within reach.
Season-ticket holder Fina Marco, from the Chicas de Oro group, is proud despite the Champions blow and wants sharper late-game focus. She is confident Villarreal will return to the Champions League.
Long-time fan Manolo Morilla is satisfied overall, accepts Europe could have gone better and urges a final push, believing a Champions League place looks secure.
Season-ticket holder number 190, Ximo Mezquita, feels the football has not always sparkled, yet the league position is ideal, and a return next year would forgive much.
Fran Lorite hails the record-breaking league form but expected more in Europe. He says the goal is to qualify again and thinks they will do it.
