Villarreal make contact over deal for Juventus star | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Villarreal are expressing an interest in a summer deal for a member of the midfield ranks at Italian heavyweights Juventus.

Youngster Miretti is fresh off something of a hit-and-miss season on the books of the aforementioned Juventus. After returning from a year on loan with Genoa, the 22-year-old was afforded 31 appearances across all competitions.

Along the way, he chipped in with a goal and three assists.

Miretti, though, never quite managed to carve out a starting berth for himself, with the bulk of his appearances having come from the bench.

It has in turn been rumoured that the once-capped Italian international is available for transfer this summer.

And as alluded to above, amongst those expressing an interest in taking advantage of this situation are Villarreal.

As per a report from transfer market insider Gianluca Di Marzio, the Yellow Submarine, amid an ongoing search for midfield reinforcements, have earmarked Miretti as a potential addition.

Also hot on the trail of the youngster, meanwhile, are Serie A side Bologna.
