Vincenzo Italiano likely to sign three-year deal with Napoli | OneFootball

Serie A side Napoli are now pushing to find a replacement for Antonio Conte and Bologna boss Vincenzo Italiano is increasingly the favourite to land the role.

Ciro Venerato – via CalcioNapoli24, now reports that he is all but set to join Napoli. He is only waiting for his future to be sorted out and the Bologna contract terminated soon.

There is a chance the Partenopei can actually end up with Italiano by the weekend. There is already an agreement between the two parties, with the ex-Spezia manager set to sign a three-year deal. He will earn €4m per season and a bonus of €1m each if they qualify for the Champions League or win the Scudetto.

Italiano deserves the move

The Bologna boss has had quite a journey in the game and has improved every club that he has managed – including the Rossoblu. In a lot of ways, he deserves to manage a club as big as the Partenopei and compete for the Scudetto on a consistent basis.

Napoli will be a complex job because of Aurelio De Laurentiis’ presence but there is clearly a very good spine in the current squad which has a very reliable technical level. This will only help Italiano, especially if he is backed with the right signings.
