Vinicius Jr’s future at Madrid has been unclear as he enters the final year of his contract
Vinicius Junior is set to remain at Real Madrid until at least the end of his contract amid rumours of a summer exit.
The Brazilian has become an integral player in this current Madrid team and played a huge role in them securing two Champions League titles in three years between 2021 and 2024.
But for the first time since 2006, Los Blancos have failed to secure a major trophy in back-to-back seasons, which has sparked rumours of a squad overhaul, and Vinicius Jr has been on this alleged chopping block.
It is not or a lack of trying from the Brazilian who claimed 21 goals and 11 assists in all competitions this season.
Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez has stepped in to clarify the winger’s future at the club, saying both he and the 25-year-old want him to stay.
“Vini is one of the best players in the world and he is delighted to be a Madrid player,” Perez explained.
“He was decisive in winning the last two European Cups and he has one year left on his contract.
“There is still time, but I tell you Vinicius wants to stay at Madrid and I want him to stay.”

It would be a surprise to see Vinicius Jr to leave as Madrid’s focus is on bolstering their defence over the summer with club Legend Dani Carvajal set to leave as well as David Alaba departing the club.
It is also rumoured that incoming manager Jose Mourinho will axe full-backs Fran Garcia and Ferland Mendy.
Ibrahima Konate looks to be the first man through the doors this summer and a deal for Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries is reportedly close to completion according to Fabrizio Romano.
