Vinícius Jr. reaches out to new Real Madrid teammate Cucurella after World Cup final | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. was quick to take to social media on Sunday night, to send a message of congratulations the way of Marc Cucurella.

This of course comes after the Spaniard played a starring role for his country, en route to sealing World Cup glory.

Spain were back in action late yesterday evening, making the trip to New York to lock horns with then-champions Argentina in the grandest fixture in all of international football.

Cucurella for his part featured from the off in the clash, capping a wonderful individual World Cup campaign with another fine performance in a 1-0 victory for La Roja.

Fresh off putting pen to paper on a contract with Real Madrid earlier this summer, messages of congratulations in turn came pouring in for the left-back from Blancos fans the world over.

And as alluded to above, adding his name to this list of well-wishers late on Sunday night was none other than Vinícius Jr.

Ahead of linking up with the 28-year-old at Valdebebas over the weeks ahead, Blancos standout Vinícius unveiled a photo of Cucurella kissing the World Cup trophy on Instagram, accompanied by the caption:

‘Congratulations and welcome Cucu!!!’
