Barcelona have reportedly agreed a fee to sell striker Vitor Roque to Palmeiras before the Brazilian transfer window shuts next week.
The young striker left Barca in the summer after struggling for minutes in the 12 months that followed his €30m arrival from Athletico Paranaense - the deal included a further €31m in add-ons - and joined Betis on a loan deal which includes a €25m option to buy.
While Betis have not made a decision on Roque, Palmeiras are determined to sign the 19-year-old immediately.
Mundo Deportivo state Palmeiras have already indicated a willingness to pay the €25m demanded by Barcelona, who are prepared to accept the offer if Betis agree to terminate his loan early.
Barcelona have contacted Betis to try and convince them to give up Roque's contract, but their approach has not been met warmly. Manager Manuel Pellegrini has publicly insisted he wants to keep the striker, not least because the European transfer window has already closed and a replacement could no longer be sourced.
Sporting director Manu Fajardo has also spoken about his desire to see Roque fulfil his potential with Betis, further dampening Barcelona's hopes of a quick sale.
While Barcelona await a decision, Roque was called up to the Betis squad for Sunday's trip to Getafe. Pellegrini discussed the situation ahead of the game but appeared to leave the door open to a possible early exit.
"He is on the list of those called up and is part of the squad," Pellegrini stressed. "I cannot say what will happen with his future. The only thing I know about negotiations is from the press. We will see how the issue is resolved."
