Vitor Roque jokes about Palmeiras president’s plane: "There's a bed"

Vitor Roque will return from France right after representing the Brazilian National Team during this Fifa break on the plane of Palmeiras president, Leila Pereira. The forward gave a press conference this Thursday, spoke about returning to Brazil with the club president, and revealed a joke with other teammates who will be “hitching a ride” on the same aircraft.

“I think this plane is a different one, not the same one we usually travel on, I don’t know what it’s like. They said it’s nice, that this one even has beds. They said it’s comfortable, but I haven’t seen it yet,” he said.

Just like other Palmeiras players, Vitor Roque is used to traveling on Leila Pereira’s other plane, the one the president made available to the club to transport the squad to away games. The plane that will bring Vitor Roque back to Brazil is for the president’s private use, and she will be in France, where Brazil will play against Tunisia.

Usually, Palmeiras organizes a task force to bring back their called-up players so they’re available for the match right after the Fifa break. At the moment, Verdão has seven players loaned out to national teams.

In addition to making Vitor Roque available to Abel Ferreira against Vitória, Leila Pereira also offered space on her plane to give a “ride” to Fabrício Bruno from Cruzeiro, Paulo Henrique from Vasco, and Luciano Juba from Bahia.

“There was also some banter (about the plane) with Fabrício Bruno, who said ‘I’m going to try and get a spot on that plane,’” he said, laughing.
