An advisor has given his opinion on the Enzo Maresca situation at Chelsea right now after his comments at the weekend.
Maresca came out and basically said he believes he is not being supported by the owners. When he had chances to sweep it under the rug, he basically doubled down on the comments.
The Blues boss says he has not spoken with the sporting directors at Chelsea since making those comments and it’s been pretty much business as usual.
My colleague also wrote an article on Maresca in the wake of the comments, suggesting that he might be a man who is angling to get sacked by the club.
And this is also what former Everton CEO, Kieth Wynass is saying.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness thinks Maresca should consider his position as manager if there has been any “serious interference.”
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Now, if he is getting serious interference, and I’ve had it before from an owner, and it is the worst in the world. I mean I’ve threatened and the manager, we both threatened to go immediately with interference from owners coming in.
“And so you’ve got to think, if Maresca was getting serious interference, then he’s got to make that known to them and make a decision. Does he go? Do they have to sack him or whatever the situation is?
“Normally with managers, they’ll want to get sacked because they want to get paid off. But to do it publicly, I think weakened him in terms of his position with the fans.
“And I think overall the club didn’t come out of this looking very good. So I think he’s probably regretting the fact he spoke off the cuff and so cryptically rather than actually giving facts or stating what it really was. So I think we won’t be hearing much from Mr. Maresca again in the coming weeks.”
