A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was on Thursday put through a ‘tunnel of slaps’ on the part of his teammates.

The player in question? Alejandro Balde.

Left-back Balde has for his part taken his place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the day to date.

This comes after the 21-year-old was confirmed to have returned to training alongside the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.

Balde had spent the last month on the sidelines, owing to a muscular injury suffered during a La Liga meeting with Leganés. The Spanish international missed Barcelona’s last seven outings across all competitions.

Today, though, he was spotted back in the thick of things at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

And as alluded to above, the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad were sure to commemorate Balde’s return with a long-observed tradition.
