When Kylian Mbappe signed for Real Madrid on a free transfer earlier this year, it was hailed as a game-changing transfer.
After all, the 25-year-old French superstar is counted among the world’s best currently and he was arriving at a team which had already conquered Spain and Europe last season.
However, things have not quite gone according to plans for both Mbappe and Real Madrid as the Frenchman has failed to deliver on expectations early in the season, with the team itself struggling as a whole.
Not to mention, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is under constant scrutiny from local media as well as outlets from France, which has only added to the pressure.
Despite the circumstances, though, Mbappe confessed to PSG legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic that he is ‘very happy’ at Real Madrid.
Ahead of Los Blancos’ UEFA Champions League game against AC Milan tonight, the French attacker happened to cross paths with Zlatan, who works as an executive with the Rossoneri.
The iconic former striker asked Mbappe if he was ‘happy’, to which the Real Madrid superstar replied: “Very happy.”
Mbappe endured a disappointing outing last time out when he faced FC Barcelona in his first-ever El Clasico.
The 25-year-old has featured in 14 games so far for Real Madrid, scoring eight goals and setting up two more.
The forward, who starts alongside Vinicius Jr. in attack tonight against Milan, must make amends and produce a strong reaction at the Santiago Bernabeu to silence his critics.
