The summer has been a momentous one for Lamine Yamal as he signed a new long-term contract with FC Barcelona after turning 18 years old.

Along with that, the teenage sensation was also handed the team’s No. 10 shirt for the new season, following the departure of Ansu Fati.

There were never any doubts that the young prodigy has what it takes to carry the mantle of being the Blaugrana’s No. 10, and he is showing why in the team’s second pre-season friendly against FC Seoul.

After playing a hand in the Catalans’ opener, scored by Robert Lewandowski, Lamine made it 2-0 for his team in the 14th minute with a stunning strike.

The 18-year-old sensation made a mazy run to the edge of the opposition box and tried to play through a teammate. The ball was blocked by a defender, but it fell straight to Lamine, who then unleashed a rifled, low effort past the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.

With it, Lamine has now scored his first goal as Barcelona’s new No. 10. Even if it only a pre-season friendly, the goal will mean a lot for the youngster and the signs are extremely promising for the team.
