Manchester City’s Elite Development Squad’s opening Premier League 2 fixture of 2025/26 will be broadcast live on CITY+.

Ben Wilkinson’s side will begin the defence of the PL2 title we won last term with a trip to Chelsea on Monday 18 August, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 (UK).

For City+ subscribers the game will be available to watch live with the broadcast starting shortly before kick-off.

The trip to west London marks our Under-21s' first assignment of the new season with City seeking to build on what was a quite magnificent 2024/24 campaign.

Wilkinson’s young charges won both the Premier League 2 league phase and subsequent play-off final to round off what was a season to savour.

Now CITY+ subscribers will be able to follow all the action as the City youngsters set out in pursuit of yet more silverware.
