Wayne Rooney criticised Leeds United and their support after a 0-0 home draw with Brentford, a fourth successive Premier League game without a goal.
"It was a hard watch. For the importance of the game and where Leeds are, I thought they and the fans were poor." Speaking on Match of the Day.
"I thought the [Leeds] fans never got behind them as Leeds fans can do. It was a bad game."
Leeds created no big chances and posted 0.54 expected goals, but defended solidly for another clean sheet. Elland Road marked the memory of Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight, murdered in Istanbul almost 26 years ago, and the mood veered from raucous to nervy.
"If you can't win the game, then don't get beaten. It could be a massive point for Leeds. That puts them four clear of the drop zone."
"They've got Wolves and Burnley to play at home and I think another four points will be enough. Yes, they were lacking a little bit of quality but I also felt there was definite nervousness in there. They were edgy at times."
"They didn't know whether to commit fully, to sit and try to protect what they had. It could be an important point."
Tottenham host Nottingham Forest today while West Ham visit Aston Villa. Leeds cannot drop below 16th by full-time.
Farke’s side will then pause for three weeks during the March international break. They are due back for an FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham on Sunday, April 5.
