‘We miss you’ – Real Madrid fans highlight one player’s absence during Real Betis clash | OneFootball

Supporters of Real Madrid have taken to social media in numbers on Saturday evening, to highlight the significance of the absence of one particular member of the club’s midfield ranks.

The player in question? Dani Ceballos.

Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action, eyeing a return to the top of the La Liga table in a meeting with Real Betis.

Amid what has proven a challenging outing to date, though, Los Blancos find themselves on level terms, at a goal apiece.

After Brahim Díaz opened the scoring in proceedings early on, Johnny Cardoso’s header drew Manuel Pellegrini’s hosts level just beyond the half-hour mark.

And in the midst of as much, the Real Madrid faithful, as alluded to above, have been quick to point towards Dani Ceballos as being sorely missed.

Midfielder Ceballos was condemned to a spell on the sidelines earlier this week, owing to an injury suffered en route to Los Blancos’ Copa del Rey victory over Real Sociedad.

The Spaniard had of course been playing a leading role in Real’s engine room until this point, looking like a player reborn in controlling proceedings in the middle of the park with poise and consistent excellence.

With the reigning La Liga champions struggling to gain control in the midfield battle on Saturday, Ceballos’ importance, in turn, has been widely highlighted:
