‘We only ask one thing’ – Real Madrid fans send UCL message to Xabi Alonso’s squad | OneFootball

The home crowd in attendance at Real Madrid’s meeting with Olympique Marseille have sent a clear message the way of the club’s first-team squad.

This, of course, comes fresh off Los Blancos kicking their European campaign into gear.

Real Madrid are currently locked in Champions League action, in a clash with the aforementioned Marseille.

The capital outfit no doubt headed into proceedings eager for a positive opening to their campaign on the continent, after a disappointing showing in 2024/25.

And safe to say, if ongoings in the stands at the Santiago Bernabéu are anything to go by, then as much is nothing short of expected on the part of the club’s fans.

The Real Madrid faithful unveiled a banner ahead of kick-off this evening, which reads:

‘“I ONLY ASK ONE THING OF YOU: THAT YOU COME OUT AS CHAMPIONS THIS YEAR.”

It now remains to be seen if Xabi Alonso’s troops can meet the lofty expectations laid out by the club’s supporters.
