Lewis Jones: Big chances tend to arrive for Newcastle, but converting them is another matter entirely - something Newcastle fans were reminded of in that 1-1 draw. That's why the play here is volume rather than outcome.
With Barcelona likely dominating the ball and Newcastle almost certainly forced to chase the game at some point with their Champions League hopes on the line, the shot count should rack up through transitions and counter attacks.
That's why the 11/8 on offer for Newcastle to have five or more shots on target rates as a fantastic bet to attack. If the game state unfolds as expected, the chances should come. Whether they take them is another question entirely. But for this bet, they don't have to.
Dave Tindall: Victor Osimhen got the winner via the penalty spot in the group stage win over Liverpool. In the second match in Turkey, he set up the first, missed a golden headed chance and later had a goal ruled out somewhat controversially after an offside earlier in the build-up.
He's a handful and I'll play him in a couple of markets. Firstly, with 26 goals in 38 appearances for club and country this season, let's back him anytime at 2/1. The Nigerian has four goals in his last five games and is nicely rested after scoring and then coming off with 15 minutes to go in Gala's weekend win over Basaksehir.
Second, I'll play him in a shots double with Dominik Szoboszlai. The requirement is that each player takes a shot (no need to be on target) in each half. Osimhen is averaging 4.56 shots per game in the Champions League this season so he's very much the focal point for Galatasaray.
The Stats: Julián Alvarez has been involved in 10 UEFA Champions League goals this season (7 goals, 3 assists), the most ever by an Atlético Madrid player in a single campaign. The Argentinian scored twice and assisted another in the first leg against Spurs.
For Spurs, despite only starting once, Dominic Solanke has scored in all three of his UEFA Champions League games for Tottenham Hotspur. With Betfair offering punters Bet £10 Get £10 you could combine Alvarez and Solanke in a goalscorer double.
Paul Higham: That was mightly impressive from Bayern last week and I'm not sure the 200/1 on Atalanta to turn things around is a big enough price for the size of the miracle they'd have to pull off. The big question is whether Vincent Kompany makes changes and Bayern coast it or take it a bit more seriously and go out and win the game again.
Kompany will likely start a strong team and disciplinary matters have made some decisions for him. Nicolas Jackson and Luis Diaz were sent off at the weekend so with domestic suspensions coming up they might as well play here, while Michael Olise is suspended opening the door for impressive 18-year-old Lennart Karl to make a sixth Champions League start this season.
Karl has averaged just under two shots on target per 90 minutes played in the Champions League this season while Diaz has had six in his three UCL home games so far, and with an already beaten opponent to face they could fill their boots here.
