The Hammers play host to The Cityzens at The Chigwell Construction Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
It has been a turbulent few days for the East Londoners with manager Rehanne Skinner having been sacked on Thursday, but Csiki says that the team are ready to give their all this weekend.
“We respect every single team that we face, but they’ll have 11 players on the pitch, we’ll have 11 players on the pitch, so we’re just going to try to play our football and beat them,” Csiki said in an official club interview.
“We’ve had a good run in the Cup so far, so we just want to try to continue that. There were a lot of positives to take from the Liverpool game and from the games before that one. I feel like we’ve been taking steps forward. We just have to stick to our game plan and we’ll do everything we can to beat City and get through to the next round.”
West Ham United were denied all three points at the death last time out. Beata Olsson’s 87th goal for Liverpool forced The Hammers to settle for a 2-2 draw in Dagenham. Csiki said that the team are using that late disappointment as fuel for this weekend.
She said “After the game, everyone was very frustrated. The game was in our hands and we didn’t take our chances. We’ve analysed the game, we’ve talked about it a lot and talked about the solutions for the next game. We’re just working on what we want to do on Sunday and focusing on the game against Manchester City.
“Drawing 2-2 with Liverpool has made us even more hungry to win against City. We’ve been doing really well in the Cup and we just want to continue those positive performances.”
