Wolves boss Vitor Pereira says he hopes Jorgen Strand Larsen will still be a part of his squad once the transfer window ends.
The Norwegian striker scored twice as Wolves came from 2-1 down to beat West Ham 3-2 and progress into the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Newcastle are keen on signing the 25-year-old, with Wolves believed to have turned down a second bid from the club to sign the centre-forward.
And speaking after his side’s victory, Pereira reiterated his desire to keep his star man though admits he, like most players, has his price.
“If it’s my decision, of course (I want to keep him), because he’s a very important player,” Pereira said.
“Until now, Jorgen is our player, and we’ll see what happens.
“Football is football, every player has a price, I believe. Even Messi, or Cristiano. But he is very, very important for us. We’ll see what happens.
“I know him very well. He will never, never force (a move). There are players I have known in this situation, and they just ask me not to play. But Larsen wants to play every time.”
