West Ham have been linked with a move for Kevin Danois following Mateus Fernandes' move to Spurs
West Ham could be in line for a very busy end to the summer transfer window as they prepare for life in the Championship.
The Hammers have already agreed the sale of Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham Hotspur, and players like Crysencio Summerville, Aaron Wan Bissaka and Taty Castellanos could follow out the exit door.
But Nuno Espírito Santo will also be keen to bolster his first team squad before the 1 September deadline.
West Ham have not made any major additions to the side since suffering relegation from the Premier League in May.
The London outfit will be targeting promotion back to the top flight, but will face fierce competition from the likes of Burnley, Wolves, Southampton and Middlesbrough, among others.
Incomings will be needed if the club are to win their place back in the Premier League in 2027.

It has been reported by the West Ham Way that the Championship side are targeting a move for Auxerre’s Kevin Danois.
The midfielder’s future will depend on the French club’s €25 (£21.3) million asking price, as it remains to be seen whether the Irons are willing to meet that figure.
It’s been claimed that Hull City have already had an offer for the 22-year-old turned down, which was worth €15 (£12.8) million.
However, West Ham also face competition from Bournemouth and Newcastle United in the race for the player’s signature.
Danois came through the Auxerre academy system, and helped the club gain promotion to Ligue 1 in 2024.
Since then, he has made 55 appearances in the top flight, contributing three goals and one assist.
His performances have led to interest from a number of English sides, and West Ham are among the teams chasing his signature.
It remains to be seen whether he would be willing to take the step down to the Championship at this stage, but Auxerre have made their stance clear with a £21.3 million asking price.
West Ham have also been linked with Celtic’s Arne Engels, as they look to bolster their midfield options following the departure of Fernandes.
The Portuguese player made the switch to Spurs in a deal worth £85 million, giving the Hammers money to spend in the market this summer.
Espírito Santo’s side will get their league campaign underway on 16 August with a trip to Burnley.

The £21.3 million asking price for Danois means that West Ham will have to put their money where their mouth is in order to get this deal done.
Hull have already had one offer rejected, and they will be able to provide Premier League football next season.
However, the Hammers’ greater resources could mean they can leapfrog the Yorkshire outfit in the pursuit of Danois.
He is a midfielder with plenty of top flight experience, and at 22 he could yet grow and develop into someone capable of playing to a high level in the Premier League, so this is a move with plenty of potential for West Ham.
