West Ham have confirmed a big coaching staff change ahead of the new season that will see Nuno Espirito Santo reunite with his former right-hand man.
West Ham United are preparing for life in the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League.
Despite a strong second half of the campaign, West Ham were relegated from the Premier League last season after finishing two points adrift of safety in 18th place, bringing their 14-year spell in the top flight to an end.
It had initially seemed that the Hammers were preparing to part company with head coach Nuno Espírito Santo following their relegation, but he will be remaining in charge at the London Stadium, with new majority shareholder Daniel Kretinsky believed to have been in favour of sticking with the 52-year-old.
West Ham£85 million, with the deal making up a significant part of the £100 million that the club reportedly needed to raise this summer.
While the Hammers still have plenty of work to do to get their squad in shape for the upcoming campaign, they have now finalised their backroom team ahead of their return to the Championship, and the changes to the coaching staff will see Nuno reunited with his former right-hand man.

As they reshuffle their coaching staff, West Ham announced on Monday that Paco Jemez will be departing the club after six months as first team coach, with Rui Pedro Silva arriving as Nuno's new assistant.
After spells working together at Malaga, Panathinaikos, Rio Ave, Valencia and Porto, Silva followed Nuno to Wolverhampton Wanderers in May 2017, and the pair oversaw a hugely successful period at Molineux, with the Midlands outfit winning the Championship title, achieving two consecutive seventh-placed finishes in the Premier League and reaching the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
Silva then had a nine-month stint in charge of Portuguese side Famalicao before linking up with Nuno for a fifth time at Nottingham Forest in December 2023, and after avoiding relegation in their debut season, they led the club to a seventh-placed finish in the top flight and qualification for the Conference League, which was later upgraded to the Europa League after Crystal Palace's expulsion.
After leaving Forest in August, Silva returned to Wolves in December as assistant manager to Rob Edwards, and while he was unable to prevent their relegation from the Premier League, there was a significant improvement in performances and results in the second half of the season following his arrival.
However, Silva will not be remaining at Molineux as part of new head coach Cesar Peixoto's backroom team and will instead reunite with Nuno once again at the London Stadium, completing a coaching line-up that also includes Steve Potts, Gerard Prenderville, Rui Barbosa, Billy Lepine and Jordan Smith.

At one stage, it looked as though Nuno was set to depart West Ham following their relegation, but the addition of Silva to the coaching staff proves that Kretinsky is willing to give him his full backing in his mission to guide the club back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
Nuno has enjoyed plenty of success working alongside Silva, particularly at Wolves and Nottingham Forest, but his spell without the 49-year-old at Tottenham Hotspur did not go to plan, while he also struggled to make the same impact at the London Stadium last season that he did at his previous clubs.
There is no doubt that Nuno is a significantly better manager with Silva by his side, and while there is still a major rebuild of the squad ahead over the coming weeks, the Hammers may just have made their most important addition of the summer.
