West Ham ‘to sell’ Lucas Paquetá to Flamengo if loan back until June agreed | OneFootball

West Ham will sell Lucas Paquetá to Flamengo now if the Brazilian club agree to loan him back until June, according to The Telegraph. The reported condition is said not to suit Flamengo.

Flamengo already have an agreement with the player, but still need to convince the London club, who see him as vital in their Premier League relegation fight.

West Ham opened talks seeking 60 million euros, about R$ 376 million, but are now asking 45 million euros, about R$ 282.4 million.

Paquetá did not report for training on Tuesday 13 January, then visited the training ground on Wednesday 14, when he met head coach Nuno Espírito Santo.

During that meeting, Nuno tried to persuade him to stay, while Paquetá reiterated his wish to return to Brazil. The coach assured he would speak to the board about an immediate release.

Flamengo have a meeting scheduled with West Ham on Friday 16 January to discuss the deal, and should present an official bid.
