West Ham United announce departure of manager Skinner | OneFootball

West Ham United have announced the news that manager Rehanne Skinner has left the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Hammers this afternoon.

West Ham United have opted for a managerial change off the back of a tough start to the season with the club sitting in 11th place in the Barclays Women’s Super League table.

Skinner took charge of the East Londoners in summer 2023. The 46-year-old guided West Ham United to an 11th-place finish in her first year at The Chigwell Construction Stadium before the team progressed to ninth last term. This season has seen West Ham United lose their opening seven league fixtures but results have improved of late with the club picking up five points from their last four league matches.

Some of West Ham United’s best performances this season have come in the Subway Women’s League Cup. The club qualified for the quarter-finals and are set to meet Manchester City at The Chigwell Construction Stadium on Sunday.

West Ham United have confirmed that the search for a new head coach will begin immediately. The club have not commented on who will take charge of the team for this weekend’s fixture against Manchester City.
