West Ham United sign Kelly Gago from Everton | OneFootball

West Ham United have completed the signing of Everton forward Kelly Gago on a three-year deal.

The transfer is Everton's biggest ever sale of a women's player according to journalist Emma Sanders of BBC Sport, with the Hammers triggering Gago's £500,000 release clause to get the move done.

The French international had been keen to leave the Toffees earlier this year after handing in a transfer request back in January.

Now the 27-year-old has completed her move to the Hammers, penning a deal until 2029.

"I’m very happy to be joining West Ham United," Gago said.

"The family-feel of the Club really appealed to me, and I’m excited to join that family.

"I’m going to give everything in order to help the team reach our ambitions, and I’m really looking forward to getting started in Claret and Blue."

Last season, Gago played 17 times for Everton in all competitions, scoring five times.
