Mo Salah will not be signing for Bayern Munich on a free transfer this summer.
The Bavarians have once again been linked with the Egypt international, with the winger’s terms set to wind down a season early at Liverpool.
This follows surprise comments from Egypt’s national team director, Ibrahim Hassan: “I have heard about offers from Paris St-Germain, Bayern Munich and clubs in the Italian league.”
Max Eberl has already communicated that the Liverpool No.11 is simply not on Bayern’s radar ahead of the next transfer window.
Indeed, it’s far more likely that the two clubs end up competing for the same talent, with there said to be shared interest in Bazoumana Touré.
“It is NOT TRUE: Bayern Munich are prepared to sign Mo Salah on a free transfer this summer,” Christian Falk exclusively informed CF Bayern Insider.
“Max Eberl already made it clear that the Egyptian isn’t a topic at FC Bayern. There is no offer for Salah – it’s simply not true.
“There are some interesting constellations, as everyone knows Salah is heading off this summer, and one possible successor that has been mooted for Liverpool is Bazoumana Touré. He’s also on the list of Bayern Munich.
“Perhaps they’ll enter talks for this player. And if both clubs are in for the Hoffenheim star, things could get very interesting! But they won’t enter talks with Salah.”
It’s worth pointing out that Salah’s form hardly puts him in contention to play a key role at a major outfit like Bayern Munich in 2026/27.

And certainly not when his competition for minutes would be the highly in-form Michael Olise.
We know that Bayern’s immediate priorities are the left wing and right-back positions.
It’s understood that the club would like to invest €80m (£69.6m) across both spots, with the bigger portion of the funds going to the left wing.
Bearing that in mind – not to mention the likely sizeable wage demands that would come with a player of Salah’s calibre – it’s unfeasible to bring the Egyptian to Munich.
There can be nothing but great respect for the 33-year-old and everything he has accomplished with Liverpool.
But the timing, for both player and club, simply isn’t right.
