Hull City striker Oli McBurnie has shared his opinion on Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored in each of his last six outings for Leeds United in the Premier League, prompting Hull City striker Oli McBurnie to share his opinion on the forward.
Despite being placed under a transfer embargo until the summer of 2026, meaning they cannot pay a fee for a player, Hull City have been excellent in the EFL Championship this season.
Led by Bosnian boss Sergej Jakirovic following the dismissal of Ruben Selles, the Tigers have defied many expectations to sit in fourth at the halfway point of the season, level on points with Ipswich Town.
The free signings of the likes of Semi Ajayi, Enis Destan, and Darko Gyabi, mixed with the loan additions of the likes of John Lundsram, Joe Gelhardt, and Amir Hadziahmetovic, have been imperative to the club's early push for the play-offs this season.
However, none have arguably better than the free addition of former Swansea City and Sheffield United striker Oli McBurnie, who was available for nothing this summer following his release from Spanish side Las Palmas.
The Scottish international has sparked a profitable relationship with Ryan Giles from left-back and alongside Gelhardt up top, and looks to be one of, if not the signing of the season thus far.

McBurnie's return to the Championship has been electric, as he hopes to be the main man up top for Hull this campaign and lead them to an unlikely top-six finish.
From one striker to another, McBurnie took to social media to recognise Leeds United's hitman Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who, after scoring in Leeds' 1-1 draw away to Sunderland, has scored in six games in a row.
This form has prompted McBurnie, who was born in Leeds, to take to social media to share his opinion on his fellow in-form striker.
McBurnie has branded Calvert-Lewin as a 'proper striker', which is entirely befitting.
Given the Scottish international's credentials, not many would be able to contest his opinion on the matter, though not many are likely to contest him on this.
Calvert-Lewin is a product of the Sheffield United youth system before his move to Everton in 2016, whilst McBurnie made over 150 appearances for the Blades, meaning Leeds is not the only thing connecting the pair.

With over 250 Premier League appearances to his name, Leeds' move for Calvert-Lewin in the summer was not met with much media hype.
The English striker was coming off the back of one of his worst season's to date, scoring three and assisting twice in 26 Premier League appearances last campaign, leading to his release from the Toffees.
However, what was David Moyes' loss has been Daniel Farke's gain, as Calvert-Lewin has become the Whites' main man up top, and cost absolutely nothing.
Likewise, McBurnie has also become Hull's main man up top, having signed for free in the summer, with the pair enjoying brilliant starts to life at their new clubs, albeit in different divisions.
Should McBurnie keep his form up for the entirety of the season, he could well find himself on the plane to the World Cup with the Scotland squad, as could Calvert-Lewin with England, should he keep finding the net at Elland Road, he could prove to be the perfect backup to Harry Kane for Thomas Tuchel.
