The final games of the new competition begin on Wednesday as the FIFA Women's Champions Cup sees four teams, including WSL side Arsenal, fight it out for a trophy.
Seemingly unconcerned with player welfare and game time, the football governing body has created the Champions Cup for the continental champions of the women's game across the world.
Confusingly, this is one of two new worldwide club tournaments that have been established with the Women's Club World Cup which will be similar to the men's version that began last year. This competition will be held every year in which there is not a Club World Cup.
What teams are in the FIFA Women's Champions Cup?
The 2026 FIFA Women's Champions Cup has already kicked-off with opening rounds reducing the number of teams to a final four. Chinese side Wuhan Jiangda defeated Auckland United of New Zealand where they progressed to round 2 before losing to Moroccan side AS Far – Arsenal's opponents on Wednesday.
Copa Libertadores winners Corinthians will face the winners of the CONCACAF W Champions Cup, Gotham FC in the early kick-off before Arsenal's game against Rabat-based AS FAR.
Where is the FIFA Women's Champions Cup being held?
With those two games behind held in China and Morocco respectively, London hosts the final games of the tournaments, beginning with both semi-finals taking place on Wednesday at the Brentford Community Stadium.
The two losers of those games will compete in a third place match at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday with the later kick-off that day being the final to crown the inaugural champions.
What is the prize money for the FIFA Women's Champions Cup?
Of course, as well as lifting a trophy the winners will earn some cash: $2.3 million (approx £1.68m) for the victors while the runners-up will take $1 million (approx £730k) home.
Defeated semi-finalists will receive $200,000 (approx £146k) while the two teams who have already been eliminated from the competition have pocketed $100,000 (approx £73k) already.
