PSG and Chelsea will battle it out on Sunday at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to see who lifts the first edition of this expanded FIFA Club World Cup.

On Wednesday, the Parisians came out strong, scoring three goals in the first 30 minutes and never letting Real Madrid get back into the game. The French giants then added a late goal to seal the 4-0 win over the Spanish side. Meanwhile, Chelsea relied on two goals from João Pedro to knock out Fluminense and move on to the final.

With PSG having won a treble and securing impressive wins in the UEFA Champions League and Club World Cup, Luis Enrique and his team are the favorite to secure the trophy this weekend to cap off a spectacular 2024-25 season.

Chelsea intend to put up a fight against PSG

Speaking to the media ahead of the final on Sunday, Chelsea defender Levi Colwill stated that the Blues won’t be intimidated by the capital club despite their convincing win over Real Madrid this week.

“When you play for Chelsea, you’re not afraid to face anyone,” Colwill said (h/t Le10Sport). “We didn’t come here just for the final. We want to win. PSG is an incredible team, but we are neither Inter nor Real. We’re going to bring something different.”
