Just one point separates Napoli and Inter at the top of the Serie A table with two games of the 2024-25 season left to play, which means that a play-off for the league title is still a possibility, but there is one combination of results that could lead to Antonio Conte and his team securing the trophy this weekend.
Here is every possible scenario for the next two rounds of Serie A fixtures.
With Napoli on 78 points and Inter on 77, the Partenopei will win the Serie A title this weekend if they beat Parma away from home and if Lazio beat Inter in San Siro.

Both matches will take place at the same time, at 19.45 on Sunday evening, as will seven other Serie A matches in order to avoid any conflicts of interest in the ongoing title fight, the race for the final Champions League position and the battle to avoid relegation, all of which remain wide open.
Napoli will not be able to win the Serie A title this weekend if they do not beat Parma, nor will they be able to win it if Lazio do not beat Inter. If Napoli do not come away from this weekend with a four-point lead over Inter, the title race will go into the final day of the season and will then head for a play-off if the two teams finish level on points after the final game.

There are still several scenarios that could unfold in the race for the Serie A title with just two matches to go.
Below is a breakdown and an explanation of what will happen for every possible combination of results over the last two matches of the season.
If Napoli win both of their remaining fixtures … Napoli will win the title outright, regardless of either of Inter’s results.
If Napoli win one and draw one … Inter will require two wins to win the Serie A title. If Inter were to win one and draw one, or any worse, Napoli will still win the title outright.
If Napoli win one and lose one … Inter will win the title outright with two victories. If Inter were to win one and draw one in this scenario, the title would be decided by a play-off. If Inter win one and lose their other, or any worse, Napoli will win the title outright.
If Napoli draw both remaining matches … Inter will win the Serie A title with four points from their last two matches. Three Inter points will take the title to a play-off in this scenario. If Inter get two points or less from their last two games, Napoli will win the title outright.
If Napoli draw one and lose one … Inter will win the Serie A title with one victory from their last two matches of the season. Two Inter draws will take the title to a play-off in this scenario. A draw and a loss, or two losses, will see Napoli win the title outright.
If Napoli lose both remaining matches … Inter will win the Serie A title with one victory from their last two matches. One Inter draw and a loss will take the title to a play-off in this scenario. Napoli will win the title outright if both teams lose their last two games of the season.
