Who wll Manchester United face in opening games of new season?

Manchester United have learned they will begin their 2026/27 Premier League campaign against newly promoted Hull City following the release of the new fixtures.
The Red Devils will travel to the KC Stadium on Saturday, 22nd August, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 (BST) live on TNT Sports 1.
Manchester United finished third last season and secured a return to Champions League football after a three-year absence. Since Michael Carrick replaced Ruben Amorim in January, United have recorded 12 wins and three draws from 17 Premier League matches.
United now begin a new era under Carrick after he signed a two-year contract in May to become the club’s permanent manager. Carrick’s side will play their first home match of the season at Old Trafford against Ipswich Town F.C. on Saturday, 29th August.
They will then travel to face Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium at the beginning of September.
United’s first Manchester derby of the campaign is scheduled to take place at Old Trafford on Saturday, 19th September.
In their fifth fixture of the season, United will travel to London to face Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Over the festive period, the Red Devils will face Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Boxing Day, before travelling to face Sunderland on Wednesday, December 30th.
Manchester United will play their final home game of the season against Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday, May 30th.
