Flamengo x Fluminense was pushed back by one day with the consent of both clubs and local authorities, unlike Mirassol x Remo, which remained on its original date. The switch prompted complaints from Palmeiras about fairness.

After their Libertadores opener in Cusco, Flamengo struggled to get home and the squad only reached Rio de Janeiro on Thursday night. With the clássico scheduled for Saturday, Flamengo requested a move to Sunday, which Fluminense accepted, and the CBF and the Military Police approved.

By contrast, in the second round of the Brasileirão, Mirassol explored changing their match in Belém, but Remo did not agree, so no alteration was made.

Palmeiras later expressed dissatisfaction, arguing the decision handed Flamengo an extra day of rest and questioning why similar requests from others are rejected. The club also called for impartiality and transparency in a demanding calendar.

The decisive difference was mutual consent and clearance in Rio, which was absent in Mirassol’s case.
