Michael Olise is playing an outstanding season at FC Bayern – and has long since played his way onto the wish lists of Europe’s elite. Now the record champions have apparently received an offer that is causing some thought even at Säbener Strasse
As reported by the portal Fichajes, Liverpool FC have made Bayern an offer of 170 million euros for the French attacking star – a sum that would be hard to ignore even for the financially stable record champions
Munich’s stance on Olise is clear. The Frenchman should be the face of the new Bayern attack in the long term. With his goals, assists and enormous creativity, the 24-year-old has developed into an absolute key player under Vincent Kompany within two years. Internally, it has been emphasized several times that Olise is „not for sale“
But an offer of this magnitude inevitably changes the dynamic
170 million euros would suddenly make Olise one of the most expensive transfers in soccer history – and open up enormous financial opportunities for Bayern
The background to Liverpool’s interest is hardly surprising. After a disappointing season, coach Arne Slot is apparently working hard to rebuild his attack. Olise should embody exactly the profile that the Reds are looking for: pace, one-on-one quality, wit and the ability to decide big games
What’s more, Liverpool have proven time and again in recent years that they are prepared to dig deep into their pockets for players they absolutely want
For Munich, however, a sale would be extremely risky in sporting terms. Olise, along with Harry Kane and Luis Díaz, was one of the absolute difference-makers last season. The Frenchman put in several world-class performances in the Champions League in particular
His departure would leave a huge gap – not only in sporting terms, but also structurally within the attack
At the same time, Bayern could massively rebuild their squad with such a sum

Despite the spectacular news, there are still many indications that Olise will remain in Munich. CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen recently emphasized: „We will have him with us for many years to come.“
The Frenchman is also in an ideal sporting situation at FC Bayern. Under Kompany, he has finally developed into a world star and is now one of the most important players in the entire Bayern squad
A sale of Olise would certainly be very attractive for Bayern financially, but would not fit in with the German record champions‘ sporting strategy.
