LaLiga backed out of staging its game abroad following player protests during the league’s seventh matchday. The players voiced their frustration over an overloaded schedule and the lack of consultation on decisions directly impacting them.

The Milan vs Como showdown, scheduled for February 8, 2026, at Perth’s Optus Stadium (65,000 seats), could now be in jeopardy.
